Police launches drive against traffic violators

Bhaderwah, Sept 29: Bhaderwah police launched a drive against traffic violators seized/challaned 40 two-wheelers under MV Act.Police Station Bhaderwah has launched a special drive against traffic violators to check the menace of traffic violations by the bike riders in Bhaderwah and to ascertain whether the drivers are possessing valid driving license/other related documents.
During this drive, 40 two-wheelers were seized/challaned under Motor Vehicle Acts. The drive will continue in future as well. SDPO Bhaderwah Addil Reshu and SHO Muneer Khan enjoined upon all the transporters and commuters to strictly follow the traffic rules and said that any violations will be dealt strictly.
Police has further sought public cooperation in adherence of traffic rules for the smooth regulation of traffic in the Bhaderwah town .Special attention is being paid to check over speeding/rash driving, over loading and non use of helmets by riders of two wheelers.
Bhaderwah Police also launched a week-long anti-drug abuse awareness campaign among school-college students in collaboration with Youth Action Committee Bhaderwah . The campaign is aimed at making the youth properly aware of the dangers involved in drug abuse and to inform them about the harmful effects of new psychoactive substances. Everyone has a part to play in protecting the youth of the world from dangerous substances, YAC President Naseer Mehboob said.
