KATHUA, Sept 29: In order to promote Sports Culture and involve more and more youth with sports activities, Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Kathua organized a block level sports meet on at Government High School Janglote on the theme "No Drugs-No Rash Driving" in which 16 teams participated in Volley Ball, Kabaddi, Long Jump, 100 Mtrs and 200 Mtrs race competitions. The event concluded here today.
In Volley Ball, Sports Stadium Team lifted the trophy by defeating GDC Kathua in under-19 category while in under-17 category Patyari was winner and Govindsar was runners-up.
In Kabaddi, Patyari was winner and Hatli More was runners- up in under-17 category while under-19 winner was Sports Stadium team and GDC Kathua was the runner up.
Ganshyam Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, who was chief guest, distributed the trophies and cash prices to the winners. |
