| 18 months on, ex-serviceman craves for water connection | | | Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, Oct 2: Althoug Public Health Engineering department is claiming to provide proper water facilities to the masses at grass root level, people in Poonch town are deprived of drinking water. According to the sources, many people of Poonch have no water due to the negligence of PHE department.
Sources from different wards of the town have expressed their anguish over continued negligence of the department and demands for probe. A local, state member of OBC advisory board, neighbourer and very close to member legislative assembly Poonch and ex serviceman Foji Mohd Rashid has expressed his anguish said he is trying for a new water connection for one and a half years. He has also sought support from the MLA Haveli too but department is unmoved and didn't give connection to him.
"If they ignore a legislator like this, the plight of the commoners can only be imagined," he said.
He has appealed to governor Satya Pal Malik to take notice of the matter. |
