| JCMS celebrates 152th Birth Anniversary of Lala Hans Raj Mahajan | | |  Early Times Jammu
JAMMU, Oct 2: The Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha, Shallamar Road, celebrated 152nd Birth anniversary of Sher-e-Duggar Lala Hans Raj Mahajan at Lala Hans Raj Park, near Sunder Singh Gurudwara Road, here.
The function started with the hawan poojan . Romesh chander Gupta President of the Sabha highlighted the various contributions made by Lala Hans Raj Mahajan who pioneered the formation of various associations of different communities. He highlighted that Hans Raj started a non political secular organization "The Dogra Sadar Sabha" in 1904. He dominated the entire social reforms movement for half a century from 1892 and died in 1944. The function was attended by heads of many social organizations. |
