Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Oct 2: The two day annual learning festival Sang-e-Meel began today at Dolphin International School, Pulwama. The festival is an annual showcase of learning by the students through stalls on Math, Science, Language, Arts, Cultures, innovation and food. The festival has been planned as a fair with simultaneous performances both at stalls and on stage. G.N. Var, President Private School Association Kashmir, inaugurated the festival in presence of Prof. Abdul Hamid Sheikh, Registrar Cluster University Kashmir, A.R. Khan, retired KAS offices and many other dignitaries. Var in his address spoke about parental role in the development of children in schools and also threw light on the role of private schools in Kashmir, especially in South Kashmir, in facilitating exposure and opportunity to students. Students had been working tirelessly for the last month in constructing exciting, engaging and enlightening academic games at each stall and today they outdid themselves with their confidence and creativity in dealing with a large number of participants at their stalls. The food stalls were also appreciated greatly. The audience left in complete awe of the effort by students and admitted that they'd never witnessed something like this in a school in Pulwama. |
