MPEJ blames traffic department for road accidents | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 8: Movement for Peace and Justice (MPEJ) has expressed concern over tragic road accident in Ramban which claimed over 22 lives and blamed traffic police for the losses. "The Ramban Trauma Care centre has failed to treat even a single trauma patient, which was constructed with the sole objective of providing timely care to the victims of road accidents on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The expenditure of crores of rupees turns out to be unfruitful due to non seriousness of Health Department in Particular & State government in general", KK Rao said. He further wondered as to how, heavy toll of lives occurred in the road accidents have failed to wake up the concerned Department particularly the state government from deep slumber over the years and miserably failed to formulate concrete policy aimed to the safety of the commuters ? Is it that the concerned traffic authorities have no concern for the lives lost or that they take the things as a matter of routine happening? He appealed Governor to look seriously in to all these irregularities which have not so far been controlled sternly by the successive governments. |
