| Thief held with stolen Rs. 15,000, 2 mobile phones | | | Early Times Report
Katra, Oct 8: Bhawan police claimed to have recovered the stolen Rs 15,000 cash along with two mobile phones and also arrested the thief.
Police spokesman said that on 8th of October of 2018, District Police Reasi under the supervision of Nisha Nathyal-SSP Reasi, acting on a complaint lodged by Arun Kumar and Mithlesh Singh of Bihar that they had come to Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan for Darshans along with their family and had put their luggage alongwith valuables near bathing ghat and went for taking bath. When returned back found cash Rs 15,000 along with 02 mobiles had been stolen by some thief or thieves from our bag and decamped away.
Acting on the complaint a case under FIR No. 09/2018 under section 379 of RPC has been registered and investigation of case started.
Meanwhile a team led by Inspector Arun Singh-SHO Bhawan under the supervision of Sat Paul Modi DySP Bhawan detained Gurpreet Kaur of Majeetha Road Amritsar from Battery car point and recovered the stolen articles from her possession while further investigation going on. |
