Absconder held after 9 years

Samba, Oct 8: Vijaypur police today claimed to have arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest for last 9 years. Police spokesman said that police party of Vijaypur police station under the overall supervision of Dr. Koshal Sharma-SSP Samba headed by Inspector Rajinder Sharma-SHO Vijaypur under the close supervision S. Baljeet Singh, SDPO Vijaypur effected the arrest of absconder namely Surinder Kumar of Ward No. 10 Rakh Sarkaran, Hiranagar from Hiranagar who was wanted in case under FIR No. 47/2009 under sections 279 of RPC, 3 PCA Act, 3/81 M.V Act registered at Vijaypur police station. It is pertinent to mention here that the said absconder was evading his arrest for the last 9 years after commission of crime.
