| Drug peddler held with charas | | |

KATRA, Oct 21: Katra police today claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered around 850 grams charas from his possession.
During routine checking at Serli Check post today, police team of police station Katra intercepted a Tavera bearing registration number JK03D-7199 which was coming from Srinagar to Katra and during frisking 22 challies of Charas weighing approximately 850 grams were recovered from the possession of Azad Hussain of Ranipora, Anantnag.
In this connection a case under FIR no.212/ 2018 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Katra police station. The above mentioned person was arrested by a team headed by SI Ajay Kumar Engotra of Katra police station under the guidance of Inspector Surinder Sambyal-SHO Katra and DySP Vivek Shekhar Sharma-SDPO Katra under the overall supervision of Naresh Singh- ASP Katra and Nisha Nathyal- SSP Reasi. |
