Dolaa and Jorde mata face apathy of State Government | | | Arun Trisal Early Times Report Bani, Oct 21: Hundreds of pilgrims across the country pay obeisance at both Dolaa and Jorde Mata temples throughout the year especially during Navaratras. The temples face apathy of state government and district administration as no facility is being provided to pilgrims. The 900-year-old temples are several miles away from Bani and Billawar towns in mountainous area. Pilgrims have no road to walk on. It is a difficult terrain they have to pass to reach the temples. Temple management informed that toilet and inns are not available in the premises that subjects the pilgrims to inconvenience. People make it to the temples on their own, stay in chilly nights in the open, there is no water and no sanitation, the chairperson of the committee said. Lekh Raj, a pilgrim, informed that he reached the peak with difficulty but was shocked to find that no facilities were available at the temples. The pilgrims sought special intention of state government and tourism department to facilitate the pilgrimage. |
