| One year imprisonment to accused in wrongful confinement case | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Oct 31: Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Doda, Sandeep Singh Sen today awarded one year imprisonment to Ghulam Mohammad Malik in a case of wrongful confinement of one Shahid Hussian S/o Ghulam Nabi Malik R/o Barath Doda.
As per the details available with Early Times, the brief facts of the case are that on 17-5-2015, an information was received in the Police Station Doda that at a place Barath one Shahid Hussian has been illegally confined in the bathroom of Higher Secondary School Bharath by the accused person and on the basis of this FIR u/s 342 RPC came to be registered and investigation commenced and after culmination of the investigation, challan was presented in the court of Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Doda.
After hearing PO Wajid Ali appearing for the State and Ld counsel for the accused, the court observed that the prosecution has proved his case beyond reasonable doubts as witnesses produced before the court have proved the guilt of the accused and accordingly the accused is convicted and is awarded simple imprisonment of one year u/s 342 RPC. |
