Eid Milad-ul-Nabi celebrated in Jammu

JAMMU, Nov 21: Eid Milad-ul-Nabi -the birthday of Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him) was celebrated with religious enthusiasm and merriment by Muslim community across Jammu.
Every year on the 12 Rabi ul Awal as per the date of Islam calendar Eid Milad-ul-Nabi is celebrated across the globe with people of Muslim community taking in religious processions and listening to scholars and pray for themselves and pray for the brotherhood and harmony for the people around the globe
The function in Jammu started with taking out of a religious procession which began from Jamia Masjid Jammu and passed via Lakhdata Bazar, Talab Khatikan, DC Office Chowk, Gujjar Nagar, and culminated into Jama Masjid near Tawi Pul in which a large number of members of Muslim community participated.
The scholars across the globe on this day highlight the teaching of Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him) and Islam which Muslims believe was the last prophet.
Speaking on the occasion an Islamic scholar said that Islam is a religion of Peace and blessing. Our Mohammad (Peace be upon him) has taught and show us how to live a life. Today we are here to pray for peace and harmony for ourselves and for the people of this world.
While emphasizing on the teachings of Islam, the scholar stressed on maintenance of peace, brotherhood, and harmony among all irrespective of caste, creed, religion, region, and color. They said this can be only possible when Muslims follow the teachings and lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him).
Impressive processions were taken by members of Muslim community in Bhaderwah on the occasion of Eid-I-Milad-Ul-Nabi the birthday of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Hundreds of members of Muslim community attired in colorful dresses carrying religious banners and flags participated in the procession.
The grand procession which was taken from Jamia Masjid Bhaderwah in the morning and after passing through various markets and roads culminated at again in the premises of Jamia Masjid in the afternoon. The Muslims participating in the procession were raising religious slogans in praise of Islam and Prophet Mohammed. In the Mosque flag hoisting ceremony of Islamic flag was also held. The authorities had made elaborate arrangements for the religious procession and the traffic on route was diverted.
At the conclusion of procession, at Jamia Masjid Bhaderwah mosque the religious scholars threw light on the significance of the day and life history of Prophet Mohammed. They said Islam teaches peace, brotherhood and communal harmony and not violence. They said Islam and Prophet have always sided with oppressed and suppressed people in the world and fought for their rights. Various Milad processions were also taken out across the other parts of the Chenab valley where speakers threw light on various aspects of the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Eid Milad-un-Nabi was celebrated by the Muslims with great religious
fervor across the district Ramban.
In this connection special programmes were held at various places including District Head quarter town Ramban. A procession was also taken out from Maitra Mosque Ramban and after passing through different areas of Ramban town was concluded back mosque.
Earlier, scholars from various school of thoughts threw light on the life of Prophet Mohammad teachings of Islam his saying and universal brotherhood advocated by Islam. They impressed upon Muslims to follow path of Islam and act upon the teaching of Prophet Mohammad (PUBH). They advised Muslims to maintain unity, brotherhood among them besides take care of your neighbour down trodden people and victimized persons as has been taught and propagated by religion Islam.
The participants during the function also expressed their resentment against the administration for its failure in making proper arrangements for the celebration of the Eid Milad-ul-Nabi and alleged that due to their casual attitude in managing vehicular traffic the procession faced inconvenience as many vehicles were stranded roadside on the old National Highway and Ramban town witnessed heavy traffic conjunction.

ebrated with full religious fervour and gaiety across the Poonch District. Thousands of devotes chanting pro-Islamic slogans participated religious processions which were taken out on the occasion at different places.
The major procession was taken out in Mendhar town in which thousands of people from Mendhar town and its adjoining areas participated with full religious fervor. On the occasion, religious preachers addressed the gathering while 'Eid Namaz' was also performed. Similar processions were also taken out in many other parts of the district including Mandi, Surankote Mendhar and poonch which were also participated by a large number of people. Religious preachers addressed the gathering in the Masjid while prayers were also performed.
The administration for ensuring peaceful celebrations had put strong security arrangements in place to prevent any untoward incident those who present on the occasion included.imam Jamia Masjid mendhar Moulan mohd sultan, MuftI Haq Nawaz khan, Moulana Mohd Mustaq Qadari SDM Mendhar Mohd Afzal Mirza SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Padyar Tehasildar Mendhar Ravi Shanker Naib Tehasildar Tarif Hussain Shah SHO Mendhar Anayat Ahmed M S Nazki Presdient press council of Mendhar Poonch Senior PDP Leader Advocate Nadeem Rafiq Hussain Khan Hindu Santhan Saba President Satish Sharma Ex Sarpanch Davinder Kumar Tandon senior NC Leader Advocate Nazir Choudhary Senior PDP Leader Waseem Khan President Kissan Mazdoor Mendhar Majid Khan Boby and others kept patrolling the area round the clock.
Meanwhile, the community members celebrated the festival and offered prayers in different Masjids. The town was also decorated with colorful lights, buntings, green Islamic flags and hoardings. Religious processions were also taken out in different parts of the Mendhar town amid tight security arrangements.
Eid Milad Ul Nabi was today celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety across Udhampur.
Jiyo aur Jeene Do, an NGO organized a programme in their head office, in which the life teachings of Hazrat Muhammad Sallalahu Allahe Vasallam were highlighted. Speaking on the occasion, President of NGO Tariq Shah said, "In the entire life, Prophet Mohammad worked for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society, slaves and women. He gave the beautiful message of living peaceful and simple life by obeying your duties properly. In the present day, his teachings of living with love , brotherhood are of more significance to live a peaceful life". Along with him were Rakesh Sharma, Ritu, Sanjay, Purnima, Sahil, Krishna, Parveen Akhter and many others.
