| RASSA organizes National Seminar | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 21: Two days National Seminar on 'Smart Technologies to Boost Farm Profitability & Socio Economic Status of Rural India' organized by the Royal Association for Science-led Socio-Cultural Advancement (RASSA)- New Delhi, in collaboration with Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) concluded with a valedictory function at SKUAST-J, Chatha, wherein Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot, Vice Chancellor, Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, was the Chief Guest and Dr. Ram Vishwakarma, Director-IIIM Jammu was the guest of honour. Prof. Rajesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, Purnea University, Bihar and Sh. Anil Kumar Singh, Executive Member of Lucknow University, were the special guests during the function. Lead papers, oral and poster technical sessions were organized during the seminar on themes including transformation of farm extension towards sustainable development; advances in crop production technologies & natural resource management: crop improvement & protection technology; agripre-neurship; environment & sustainability and extension system & policy issues, etc and technological innovations concerning environment, agriculture, food science & transfer of technology to provide a roadmap for doubling farmers income and possible pathways for overall socio-economic development of rural India were elaborated. Scientists, teachers, extension officers, scholars and students from different parts of the country participated in the national seminar with their innovative ideas to meet the objectives of the society.
