Another cease fire violation by Pak in Akhnoor, jawan injured | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 21: In yet another incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistani Army on Wednesday fired unprovoked and heavily on forward Indian posts along the Line of Control in Pallanwala sector of Akhnoor. Pakistani Army this evening started firing unprovoked on Indian posts in Pallanwala area of Akhnoor," official sources here said. They said that one Army soldier suffered injuries in the firing and he has been rushed to the Akhnoor Army Hospital. On Tuesday two jawans got injured in firing on LoC in Poonch and Nowshera sectors. On November 12, a soldier attained martyrdom along the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch when Pakistan Army resorted to an unprovoked ceasefire violation. Earlier two soldiers had also got martyred in the ceasefire violations. On October 21, three soldiers of Jammu and Kashmir light infantry regiment and two heavily-armed infiltrators, believed to be members of the Border Action Team (BAT) of the Pakistan army, and terrorists, were killed in Sunderbani sector. On November 6, a soldier was injured when he was hit by a sniper from across the border at Kalal in Noushera sector of Rajouri, while a BSF jawan was injured in a separate incident of firing by Pakistan along the LoC in the Manjakote area of the Rajouri-Poonch. |
