Himalayan heritage museum observes world heritage week | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 23: Himalayan Heritage Museum on the eve of World Heritage Week, organized a colorful function in Jammu. Sonika Sharma Cooperator, Ward No. 30 was the Chief Guest while Sr. Sucha Singh (D.C) Cooperator Ward No. 31 was special Guest and Dy Director Archives, Archaeology and Museum Jammu Tsering Tashi Was guest of Honour. They were highly appreciative of the exemplary work done by Inder Singh Chairman of HHM by collecting invaluable objects of divergent types single handedly. They said that these objects have glimpses of the golden Era of our ancient art, culture and civilization and preservation and conservation thereof is very expensive beyond the capacity of a person having modest means of income and said that such organization are undoubtedly supplementing the efforts of the govt. in preserving and conserving the objects of antique value which are lying with the individuals living in far and wide of the state who may be unaware of the real value of these objects. HHM put several antique objects on display in the museum. Men, women and children from all walks of life who visited the museum in large number viewed the objects very keenly and were enthused to see all this as Inder Singh gave a narration of each object in depth.
