“Mithu Ki Azadi" painting exhibition concluded | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 23: Painting exhibition, on the theme of Mithu Ki Azadi, concluded today in which two hundred children from 15 school participate and displayed their painting. Motto of this event was to make people aware and ask them to give up the habit of caging parrots. Rekha of 6th class of Little Rose High School adjusted for First Prize and Taniya of New Model Public School Satwari got 2nd Prize while three student Aman Gill of 7th class of New Model Public School SATWARi, Gurpreet Singh of 9th class of Army public School and Suman Devi of 9th class of GHSS Mandal Phallayan got 3 place. Beside this 12 student go consolation prizes. Painting Exhibition has been organized by The Himalayan Avian, A public Trust for birds study and Research. Dr. Kuldeep Sharma, Vice President, National Institute of Public cooperation & Child Development. (NIPCCD) Ministry of Women & Child Development who was the Chief Guest said that Caging birds is against Wildlife act. We all should play vital role to protect environment. He appreciated the work of Children and said message should go to every corner that Mithu want to live in free environment. former wildlife warden, Raja Sayed and Agri Expert Sagar Sharma highlighted the role of birds in environment. They appeal people to love parrots in free environment and become birds lover then these parrots will come close to your home site and that will be great pleasure. Shiv Sena National Vice President Rajesh Kesari stress for awareness among general masses. Guldev Raj Head of The Himalayan Avian also gave vote of thanks. |
