Cong always promoted anti-Sikh elements: Varinderjeet | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 19: National Sikh Front Chairman S. Varinderjeet Singh alleged that Congress, had always promoted its such leaders who were involved in 1984 riots even more unfortunate is that it never uttered a single word of condemnation of killing of thousands of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other parts of the country. As per press statement issued, it states that this was stated by National Sikh Front Chairman S. Varinderjeet Singh, while reacting on giving the post of Chief Minister to Kamal Nath in Madhya Pradesh. "Like other leaders of Congress, Kamal Nath too was involved in 1984 riots and it is not mere allegation but there stands witnesses against him", he states, adding that awarding such a leader with important portfolio is sprinkling salt on the wounds of thousands of Sikh families. Making a strong plea to immediately remove Kamal Nath from the post of Chief Minister, Varinderjeet Singh said that the Congress should not test the patience of Sikhs and that it should seek public apology for making blunder in giving CM post to a culprit. He further said that there was no headway in the 1984 riots cases during Congress rule at the Centre but after Narendra Modi took over as PM, the matter was taken seriously as a result of which one of the main accused Sajjan Kumar has been sentenced life imprisonment. The Congress used power as tool to shield its leaders involved in heinous crimes but Modi government never misused judiciary to suppress or harm any community in the country. |
