Contract to collect Adda fee ill conceived 12/19/2018 10:35:46 PM MS Nazki Early Times Report Poonch, Dec 19: Employees of Block Development Officer Mendhar have been accused of putting a contractor to inconvenience for paying a huge amount as Adda fee while his collections points have been choked sources said here today. Contract of collecting Adda fee from the commercial vehicles passenger in Mendhar has been allotted to contractor Nisar Ahmed Phachi vide order No. BM 2517-25 dated 29/3/2017 for the year of 2017-2018 after a committee headed by SDM, Tehsildar, BDO, Naib Tehsildar and Secretary Panchayat Gohlad held a meeting to finalize the name of above said highest bidder against Rs 24 lakh for a period of one year. Source said the committee also identified the money collection points for the contractor which were duely mentioned in the order also include near petrol pump Dhaki Dhera, Old Bus Stand Dharna Chowk DDO Office Mendhar, General Bus stand Mendhar and near Jawa centre opposite Bus stand Mendhar. But much to his surprise only Bus Stand collection point has been kept open for the contractor where as other four collection points have not been opened he alleged. I have to deposit huge sum of money as per the contract. But only one collection point has been allowed while other four points were non operative as a result I face revenue loss said Nisar while talking to Early Times. "I have submitted several applications in this regard to then and present incumbent SDMs and BDOs but nothing has been done. I have been running from pillar to post for the last nine months but my plea is not being heard, " he said. He urged the district authorities to allow him collect Adda fee from other points also as were mentioned in the government order otherwise he will fail to deposite the money to Government and may fall in the financial crunch, Nissar lamented. He said meager amount of Rs 30 from passenger buses and Rs 20 from other vehicles and halt age of any vehicle @ Rs 100/- per day was not a good deal unless other collection points according to order were not made operative he further added.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
