Udhampur, Dec 19: Six months since the fall of coalition government in the state, authorities concerned have yet to remove the hoardings of former ministers of BJP-PDP coalition government. It is pertinent to mention here that on 19 June , the BJP suddenly withdrew its support to the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) and pulled out of the ruling PDP-BJP coalition, causing the government to collapse. After this the State came under Governor's rule, which has completed six months now, but astoundingly, still at certain places like PHE office at MH chowk Udhampur , bus stand at Ramnager hoarding showing BJP ex MLA sham Choudhary as cabinet minister of PHE , irrigation and flood control and PDP ex MLA Farooq Ahmed Andrabi as MoS are still on display. Constitutional experts opine that the hoardings of former ministers or MLAs under popular government should be removed immediately. They also appealed to the administration to direct the government officials concerned to remove hoardings. |
