Process to fill up posts referred in 2015 yet to begin | Dismal performance of PSC | | Vijay Charak
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 19: In what could be termed as dismal performance of Public Service Commission (PSC), it has failed to start recruitment process to fill up posts of Lecturer in Tourism department referred to it by State Board of Technical Education (SBOTE) three years back. Pleading anonymity, an aspirant for the post told Early Times that despite clear direction of previous as well as incumbent government to all recruitment agencies to fill up the posts referred to them immediately, it seems the commission has cared a damn for these directions. "The board in 2014 had forwarded two posts of Lecturer-I (Civil Engineering) and one post for Lecturer-II (Travel and Tourism) but Astoundingly, after lapse of almost four years Commission had done nothing except advertising the posts", sources said. The recruitment process of Civil Engineer Lecturer was started by PSC after six months of notification published and at the ending of same year the lecturer for engineering field selection list was declared. It is very surprising a single post of Tourism lecturer was forgotten by the Commission. "Aspirants for post of lecturer in tourism visited the PSC office many times and enquired about further process of recruitment of said post but the officials concerned gave lame excuses to aspirants", another aspirant told Early Times. Repeated calls to PSC Secretary Rajesh Sharma evoked no response. |
