NC accuses Police of harassing innocents; Protests over summons to two teenage girls | Parihar brothers' killing | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Dec 19: Launching a scathing attack on Kishtwar Police and National Investigating Agency (NIA) over their failure in arresting the culprits behind the killings of BJP State Secretary Anil Parihar and his brother Ajeet Parihar, Senior National Conference leader and former MoS Home J&K said that in order to hide its failure, innocent people are being harassed in the name of investigation and added that the ongoing investigation into the killings of Parihar brothers has been misdirected to hush up the case as well the real culprits. Kichloo who is also NC MLC while leading a protest outside Kishtwar Police Station over the summoning of two local teenage girls to Police Station Kishtwar for questioning called upon the Police and local Administration to stop harassing the residents of Tappal Mohalla where Parihar brothers were killed. He said that people of the area have complained about the modus operandi of police and NIA. "Today Kishtwar police and Administration crossed all the limits by summoning our daughters (14-16 year old) to police station Kishtwar which is unacceptable" Kichloo said. "We are fully cooperating with the police, but till date nothing has been done" said Sajjad Kichloo demanding Judicial probe through sitting High Court Judge so that the real culprits into this accident could be nabbed. He further added that only Judicial probe that will be held under the sitting High Court Judge will give hope among the people that the real culprits will be brought to book . Kichloo warned local administration not to resort to this type of investigation tactics in future, otherwise people can launch an agitation against the investigation agencies. Later the protest was called off after both the teenage girls were sent home by the police. |
