Early Times Report Rajouri, Dec 19: Mendhar police started investigation in mysterious death of Assistant Sub Inspector of BSF, due to gun shot, which was projected as suicide on social media. Police after legal formalities and post-mortem seized the Light Machine Gun (LMG) used in the crime. Doctors who performed the autopsy were also of the view that as per physical verification of the body it was not feasible to fire bullets in the throat. "Two bullets after hitting from front side on the throat came out from back side" said Dr Parvaiz Khan , BMO , Mendhar. As per initial reports two bullets had hit the ASI namely Satpal Jaiswal, 49, posted in 'D' company of 72 BSF while manning the forward post in Mendhar tehsil. Reports said ASI, Satpal Jaiswal died before he could be shifted to medical centre by the colleagues. Sources added it was not possible to commit suicide by firing bullets on the throat from LMG. Anayat Hussain, SHO, Mendhar said that the police had started inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC. Sources said the bullets fired from across the border can also not be denied and the truth will come out after detailed investigation by the police. |
