Jammu, Dec 19: The student of class VIII Sufyan Waheed Sohil of Dewan Devi Hr. Sec. School is selected in Khelo India Talent (KIT) by Talent Identification and Development Committee (TIDC). He is the only student of Dewan Devi Hr. Sec. School Jammu, who has been selected in 'Fencing' from J&K state. The school has been providing efficient coaching to him, so he is able to get such a position. He won the silver medal in Fencing at 64th School National Games held at Manipur. KIT will provide requisite support to enable the athlete to fulfill his dreams and take India Sports to great heights. Under this programme, the athlete will be supported for a maximum of 08 years. Out of the grant of Rs. Five Lakh per athlete per year available under this programme, a stipend of Rs. 1,20, 000 for the whole year will be given in cash. |
