| One-way traffic continues on Jammu- Srinagar highway | | |
Keeping in view the overall weather and road conditions, the traffic on Jammu- Srinagar highway continues to move from one side. The traffic on Thursday was thrown open from Jammu to Srinagar.
The spokesman said that no movement of any Light Motor Vehicles shall be allowed from Nagrota (Jammu) towards Srinagar after 1200 hours and from Jakheni Udhampur after 1400 hours to avoid congestion. The commuters are requested to avoid travelling during night hours.
Heavy Motor vehicles shall be allowed from Jakheni (Udhampur) towards Srinagar from1400 hours up to 2400 hours. These vehicles shall not be allowed to halt between Nashree Tunnel to Jawahar Tunnel.
Meanwhile, on the historical Mughal road, and Srinagar-Sonamarg, Gumri road traffic movement remained closed due to the accumulation of snow. People are requested to undertake a journey only after confirming the status of the road.
