| JKSAC holds meeting, discusses DPs issues | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 26: Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) held a meeting of its workers at Rohi Morh, Gadi Garh, Jammu and beside other issues took stock of the difficulties being faced by DP's of 1947 from POK in connection with the disbursement of the instant package particularly in respect of those DP beneficiaries who are awaiting relief compensation from the last more than one year despite of clearing their objections several times. The participants in the meeting expressed their resentment and condemned the authorities for causing the delay. The members appeal to Satyapal Malik to stress upon the Ministry of Home Affairs to release the DP's relief compensation funds on priority to save them from harassment and confusion. He was also urged upon to prepare a comprehensive road map for the final settlement of DP's as per the recent recommendations of Joint Parliamentary Committee on Home Affairs. While presenting his views regarding the issues/ problems/ difficulties raised by participants in the meeting Gurdev Singh (President) said that JKSAC is seized of all the difficulties and attention of the higher authorities has been drawn many times in this regard but unfortunately no adequate measures have been taken so far. While drawing his attention towards the DP's one time settlement he reiterated that none of the dispensation of the state have ever cared to project their case in the right perspective for its final resolution due to dearth of positive mind set. |
