GPS Bali runs in unsafe building | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, Dec 26: Contrary to the tall claims made at various levels by the government and concerned department for providing free education at door step many schools are lacking adequate basic facilities and infrastructure causing hampering basic education system. Government Primary School (GPS) Balli of district Ramban is one such example of apathy of the concern authorities where the school building is in worst condition from the past 2 years and the students are studying under constant threat of lives but nothing has been done so far. Pertinent to mention the school is running in two rooms with 50 students and two teachers. The school building of GPS Balli is totally unsafe and would collapse anytime. Parents are worried about the safety of their wards. The matter has been brought to the notice of the concerned authorities but all in vain. Chief Education Officer (CEO) Ramban Abdul Hamid Fani said that the matter is not in his notice and he shall take necessary steps to repair the building or shift the school to other building within days. |
