Kathua, Jan 3: Police Station Hiranagar today booked two under Essential Commodity Act for illegal transaction of kerosene oil.
Police spokesman said that acting on a tip off about one Mahindra Sharma of Chack Protian Tehsil Hiranagar who is looking after the kerosene oil depot registered under license number DCAPDJ/S/100/K-Oil, is illegally selling subsidized kerosene oil on higher price to one driver of a truck bearing registration number JK08E-8064 namely Omkar Sharma of Garnari Marheen for wrongful gain.
Police team led by Inspector Arvind Sambyal-SHO Hiranagar raided the spot and booked both the persons under relevant sections of Essential Commodity Act and investigation taken up. |
