Bhaderwah people resent BJP MLA's indifference | Put forth demands | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 3: Neglected area in the constituency of a former BJP MLA from Bhaderwah is a strong bastion of his opponents. Ex- Sarpanch Rakesh Charak of Tehsil Chiralla informed Early Times that in 2014 the BJP legislator of Bhaderwah constituency visited the area. During his visit around 500 persons from various areas of the said tehsil assembled. At that time the legislators listened keenly to the demands from the area. "Over fifteen thousand souls resided in far-flung areas of newly created Tehsil Chiralla. In 21th century we people are still deprived of healthcare facilities, so we sought a primary health centre. We also demanded a power receiving station. Presently the power receiving station of the said Tehsil is at Prem Nagar which is about 20-30 kilometers away from Tehsil headquarters and due to harsh weather we people are without electricity", Rakesh Charak said, adding that for all financial transactions, the poor public to travel a long distance because the available branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank is also situated at Prem Nagar," they said. They added that the Zonal Education Office is situated in old Tehsil Thatri which is around 40 kilometer away from Chiralla. "The distance adversely affects the quality of education in the schools as inspections are very rare. So we demanded a Zonal Educational Office in the tehsil," they said. The locals also sought proper exploitation of the tourism potential of the tehsil. |
