udhampur, Jan 3: Police today claimed to have foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued 03 bovine animals at Jakhani, Udhampur.
Rajiv Pandey-SSP Udhampur said that based information, Police party led by Inspector Sanjeev Chib-SHO Udhampur under the supervision of Zahid Saif Wani-Dysp Hqrs. Udhampur raised a naka at Jakhani, NHW, Udhampur for checking of vehicles.
"Noticing the police party, driver of a bovine animals laden vehicle parked his vehicle bearing registration number JK02B-2187 roadside and fled away from the spot by taking the advantage of heavy traffic on road", said spokesman adding that during the checking of said vehicle, 03 Bovine animals were found illegally loaded in the vehicle.
All the bovine animals were rescued and the vehicle was seized while manhunt to nab the accused driver is on |
