JAMMU, Jan 3: Two matches were played on Thursday in an ongoing Sr. Division Football League Tournament 2018-19 organized by J&K Football association (DFA Jammu) at Parade ground, Jammu. In the first match of the day, Vijay Club horned with Young Rovers Side. In a closed fought battle between the two, Vijay club emerged as winner by scoring 4 goals while as Young Rovers Side managed to net 3 goals.
For Vijay club, goals were scored by Shivam, Vikramjeet Singh, Dushya and Manmohan. For Young Rovers Side, Ujjwal, Ujjwal, Abhimanyu and Rahul Sharma hit the net.
In the second match of the day, Shaheen FC pulled the major upset of the tournament by defeating big giant of the tournament, J&K Bank Academy by 1-0. Shaheen FC got their revenge back as they were outclassed by the J&K Bank Academy on the first day of the football tournament. Ahsish scored the winning goal for the Shaheen FC club in the 65th minute. |
