Poonch, Jan 15: People have expressed their dismay over the non functioning of panchayat ghars in district despite the sarpanches and panches have been elected in the recently held local bodies election all over the state , sources said here today
Sources said in several wards of the Sub Division Mendhar panchayat ghars are yet to be constructed and the areas where Panchayat ghars are existing but have no facility . These panchayat ghars were only for name sake they added. While talking to Early Times recently elected sarpanches Harni Waseem Khan said though sarpanches and panches have been elected by the people for redressal of their issues, place to sit and work for their people. He expressed his dismay over the nonfunctioning of panchayat ghars which have no office, no chair, no other facility of electronic gadgets computers and internet etc, he added. He also wanted to draw the attention of the authorities towards those wards where panchayat ghars are yet to be constructed or under the construction. He urged the Governor administration to take stock of the problem being faced by the locals in absence of Panchayat ghars in the district which are totally defunct or yet to be constructed . |
