Mehbooba demands dialogue with militants, terms them stake holders in JK
Height of hypocrisy!

Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 15: When radicalization has reached its peak in Kashmir with militants making execution videos viral on internet, the former chief minister is all out to defend the ultras and wants to absolve them of all the crimes.
"I believe the political process is very important for the resolution of Kashmir. The Government of India must hold dialogue with Hurriyat, Pakistan and with the militant leadership. Talking to militant leaders will actually bring change on the ground as it is they who hold the gun and can make a difference," Mehbooba said.
However, her statement is being perceived as a `cry for help' by a desperate party which is battling its worst ever rebellion.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir could perhaps be the only state wherein politicians use such a bizarre language and issue such bizarre statements.
What the PDP president has perhaps forgotten is the fact that she has been the chief minister of the sensitive state like Jammu and Kashmir such statements don't get well with the post she was holding till recently.
Earlier, when the class 10 results in Kashmir were out, she specifically chose to congratulate granddaughter of Syed Ali Geelani while leaving thousands of other children hailing from economically downtrodden families aside.
A day after congratulating the granddaughter of a separatist, Syed Ali Geelani, who advocates Kashmir's merger with Pakistan- for passing class 10 examination, Mehbooba visited the militancy infested south Kashmir's Pulwama district and roamed around its interiors. She also met with the families of the victims and condemned their targeting, while asking the Governor administration to remain cautious and not to intimate the families of the victims.
However, what was deeply disturbing was the video clip of Mehbooba Mufti that has gone viral on Kashmir's social media. Interacting with the journalists outside the house of one of the militants, the PDP Chief issued a veiled threat to security forces. This is what she said, "If you continue with such policy of targeting the families of militants, its repercussions will be serious." This statement seething with anger made by the former chief minster carries a deep meaning within which is that if tomorrow militants attack the security forces in revenge that will be justified as per the PDP Chief.
"Police and other security forces cannot function outside the ambit of law. That will create more problems than it solves. On the one side, we have been making claims that we want to take youngsters away from violent methods but on the other hand, it seems that the government is doing everything to push them further into this unending cycle of violence," she was quoted in a party statement as having said.
