Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 22: Rationalisation of employees engaged under nation health mission (NHM) leaves sub centre (SC) in Bhathera Panchyat deserted , as only female multipurpose health worker (FMHW) relieved by the BMO Kalakote a week ago. According to locals there was only one FMHW under NHM in the Centre, but the Chief Medical Officer Rajouri, without taking care of public of the Panchyat, allowed her to join in Block Sunderbani. "There are total three posts in sub centre, including a Pharmacist, a regular FMHW and a FMHW under NHM", local said adding that the Pharmacist, despite being appointed under district cadre post managed his deputation in Jammu and Kashmir State Medical Supplies Corporation Ltd (JKSMSCL) and a regular FMHW was also transferred from centre few months ago," they said. They said that without consulting concerned Sarpanch and local masses, the former Chief Medical Officer, Dr Suresh Kumar, issued order of transfer of the FMHW recently, and her relieving order left the sub centre abandoned. It was not an isolated case where sub centres have been abandoned, due to rationalisation in Rajouri district. However, sources from CMO Officer Rarjouri claimed that prior to his transfer, Dr Suresh Kumar as CMO had issued a large number of transfer orders of including NHM employees on the pretext of rationalisation. "A proper investigation need to be done into transfers orders issued by Dr Suresh", they added. Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri, Sunil Sharma could not be contacted for his version despite repeated attempts. |
