Udhampur, Jan 22: The Government Degree College Majalta is being run in a private building exposing tall claims of the authorities on higher education.
Earlier it functioned in a Government Middle School Baryalta at Majalta and then the strength of students were 75 while in the year 2018 it was shifted to a private building at Battal Morh here due to increase in the number of students.
Sources informed that Rs 15 core were sanctioned for the degree college initially but the authorities failed to start work on the building.
When contacted Principal of the College, Kusum Gupta said a land dispute was delaying the process. |
