Jammu, Jan 22: Tragic incident during mock drill of Mahamaya ropeway project- which claimed lives of two employees of private company on Sunday, has exposed failure of former BJP ministers to ensure quality work in the developmental projects of Jammu region.
Ex-BJP ministers, who claimed themselves to be representatives of the people of Jammu region, seemed to be in a hurry and compromised with the quality of developmental projects of this region.
People have logic to ask what the then MoS Tourism Priya Sethi had inspected when trial run of the ropeway project was held in her presence on April 27, 2018.
Sethi, who was also present at the trial run of the ropeway, had appreciated the work of executing agency. "The project will give a boost to the tourism industry of the Jammu region and people will spend more time in Jammu during their visit to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, Amarnath shrine, Patnitop and other tourist destinations in Jammu province," Sethi had stated without checking quality of the work.
Credible sources said that majority of developmental works which were executed during the tenure of PDP-BJP regime in Jammu region were of very poor quality because all the ex-BJP ministers were more concerned about minting money from the executing agencies, especially private contractors instead of ensuring quality of the work. |
