Reasi, Jan 22: A four day capacity building cum training "Transforming India through Strengthening PRIs by continuous training and E-enablement" of second batch Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRI) members began at Conference hall, Mini Secretariat Reasi. The program was inaugurated by Dr Sagar Doifode Dattatray Deputy Commissioner Reasi. Addressing the Sarpanches, he conveyed his best wishes to the newly elected representatives. He exhorted them to strive for the welfare and upliftment of people.He called upon Sarpanches to stand shoulder to shoulder with the local administration for the welfare of the State, to fulfil the aspirations of the masses. He urged them to prioritize people's interests, as the people have reposed enormous faith and hope on them. Dr Sunil Sharma, ACD Reasi earlier briefed the participants about four day training module and called upon them to learn from the resource persons. Parvinder kour, DPO Reasi on the occassion informed that in second batch 44 Sarpanches from block Arnas, thuroo, jij bagli, Thakrakote and Bhomagh will be trained in making the Panchayati Raj model a success, and responsive to the people's basic needs as well as about various schemes. Sanjeev Sharma BDO katra administred oath to all the sarpanches in the beginning and OP Bhagat BDO pouni presented power point presentation about good governance. An interactive session with resource person Sharvan Kumar from Haryana was held which was highly appreciated by participants. Gurjit Singh BDO jij bagli, Baldev Singh BDO Thakrakote, Mohammad Iqbal BDO Thuroo, Sha-nker Dass BDO Bhomagh, Mohan Lal District Social Coordinater was also present on the occasion. |
