Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 27: Shiv Sena has criticized the Governor's administration for revoking Zero Stamp duty for women on the sale and purchase of property registered in the name of females in the state. While speaking to the media, state president Shiv Sena Dimpy Kohli and general secretary Manish Sahni said silence of the BJP leaders on this issue proves that women empowerment and other policies of BJP seems only to be a jumla. They said that the asset ownership in the state is largely dominated by men and there are only 23 percent women in the state having land ownership. Sahni said that soon after the stamp duty was scrapped by her last government last year, properties in thousands were registered in the name of women. On this occasion Rohit Annad, Sunny Jamwal, Ravider Singh with dozens of youths from Jammu joined the Shiv Sena. |
