Udhampur, Jan 27: Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur organized an Inter-College Symposium on the topic "Shape Tomorrow by Voting Today" on the eve of "National Voters Day" in the college premises today on 25th Jan, 2019. The symposium commenced with the welcome address by the Principal of the college Dr. Anita Bali. Sh. Rajiv Pandey (IPS), S.S.P Udhampur was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The students of GDC Udhampur, Govt. College for Women Udhampur, Bhaskar Degree College Udhampur, Kalra College of Education Udhampur and the host College participated in the symposium. The participants while speaking laid emphasis on the importance of voters and casting their votes. They also said that each and every voter should participate in the electoral process because even one vote matters. The students of Bhartiya College of Education also presented a skit on the importance of casting the votes. While speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest said that every voter should caste his/her vote irrespective of caste, creed and color. He also motivated the youth not to indulge in drugs and utilize their time in the studies. He also threw light on the importance of Voters Day. |
