| 72-year-old woman dies in house collapse | | |

Bhaderwah, Feb 4: A 72-year-old woman died on Monday after her house collapsed in snow-bound Tatora-Gajoth village at Bhaderwah, in Doda district.
"Seetu Devi of village Tatora-Gajoth came under the debris of the house after it collapsed around 3:20 AM", said police sources.
Police officials said that incident took place when the decased was sleeping and she died on the spot.
Police sources further said that the house had become weak and repeated spells of heavy snowfall led to its collapse and the body of the elderly woman was retrieved from the debris by police during a rescue operation. |
