| Absconder held after 6 years | | |

Kathua, Feb 4: Kathua police today claimed to have arrested an absconder who was absconding from last six years.
Police spokesman said that a team of Police Station Hiranagar under the directions of Inspector JJ Bhagat-SHO Police Station Hiranagar today succeeded in arresting an accused namely Shokat Ahmed of Goran Samba from Gungad area in Ghagwal Samba who was evading arrest since more than 6 years and against whom a non bailable warrant was issued by the Addl. Session court Kathua.
Spokesman further said that the accused was involved in Police Station Hiranagar in a case under FIR No. 131/2012 under section 8/15 NDPS Act in which 6 Kilograms Poppy straw was recovered from his illegal possession. |
