The locals alleged "step-motherly treatment" by the officers of the health department. Majid Khan Boby President Kissan Mazdoor Union Mendhar said Sub-District Hospital Mendhar is a vital health institution as it caters to the needs of more than a dozen villages of the sub-division, with several lying along the Line of Control." "The number of deaths and injuries in cross-border firing in the last Many years clearly shows the importance of the SDH," boby said, adding, "However, the hospital is running on God's mercy." Majid khan Boby alleged, "The posts of specialists have been lying vacant since years, but the concerned quarters do not seem to be bothered." "Expect the post of a pediatrician, all other specialist doctor posts are lying vacant, which is taking a serious toll on the healthcare system," he added. The locals appealed to the Governor's administration to look into the issue and redress their grievance. |
