Advisor intervened, deadlock ends; NGFOA defer agitation | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 4: All J&K Non Gazetted Forest Officers Association deferred the State wide agitation after a high level meeting was conveyed in the office chambers of Advisor K Vijay Kumar. The meeting was also attended by high officials of forest departments The Association deman-ded fulfilment of their long pending agreed demands which included removal of Pay Anomaly, release of 2 and half days extra salary and risk allowance for forest frontline employees the demands were discussed in length. One of the employees informed that the Advisor (K) said the demands are genuine, as we have lost about 110 employees for the protection of forests. And, the employees are performing duties round the clock work on 365 days to save the green gold of the State on the risk of their live. They deserve 2 and half days extra salary and risk allowance. He added that the Advisor said that things will be sorted out within couple of days to encourage the frontline employees. Further, these issues are rare agreed and needs financial concurrence which will be got shortly as already taken up with finance department. The issue of pay anomaly shall be taken up with finance department for its final settlement and a committee has been has already been constituted to redress anomalies issues. |
