Jammu, Feb 4: J&K Grameen Bank organized Ten Financial Literacy Programmes in a Day in unbanked areas under District Jammu, Rajouri, Samba & Baramulla. Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural in collaboration with NABARD organized 10 Digital-Financial Literacy Awareness Programmes in different unbanked villages of the District Jammu, Rajouri & Samba under Branch office Gho Manhasa, Gajansoo, Tatapani, Sialsui, Solki, Siot, Ramgarh, Nandpur, Jakh & Sheeri on the theme of awareness among Farmers, Students & Non-Farm working groups. Among all the chief Guests, Surinder Singh, DDM NABARD, Samba aware people about developments in banking sector and latest schemes. The participants were informed regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware and prevent cases of cheating/ corruption while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM Cards, Mobile Banking etc. People were educated about the Aadhaar Seeding and Mobile seeding with their respective saving bank accounts which is need of the hour for the banking sector. |
