| BGSBU organizes Blood donation camp | | |  Early Times Report
Rajouri, Feb 4: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri organised a blood donation camp in association with District Hospital Rajouri in which members of teaching and non teaching staff and students of different departments donated the blood. The camp was inaugurated by Prof.Javed Musarrat,Vice Chancellor of the University. On the occasion Prof.Musarrat said that donating blood means saving precious lives and the presence of the students with full zeal and dedication is highly appreciated. He said that Every blood donor is a life saver and there is no great pleasure then saving lives. Prof.Musarrat appreciated the efforts of University Health centre for organizing the camp. Those who were present on the occasion included Prof. Iqbal Parwez, Dean Academic affairs, Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed zarri ,Registrar and Prof. GM Malik, Dean of students, Dr. Mehmood Hussain Bajar, Medical Superintendent of the District hospital and Officers and officials of University Health centre and District Hospital Rajouri . Later in the afternoon a cancer awareness lecture was also organized by the University Health Centre. Dr Mehmood Bajar, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Rajouri delivered a presentation on various interventions to promote cancer awareness. The lecture was attended by the faculty and students of various departments of the University. |
