KATHUA, Feb 4: The first martyrdom day of Havaldar Roshan Lal of 15th JAKLI was observed at Government High School (GHS) Nichla, his native village. He was martyred on February 4, 2018 at Bhimbergali sector of district Rajouri. His Unit 15th JAKLI installed his Statue at Government HS Nichla and was inaugurated on this very day by his father Des Raj. The function got started with Guard of Honour and wreath laying ceremony. Brigadier JS Budhvaar Sub Commander Mamoon, Brigadier Anil Raman Station Commander Samba Military Station, Col Adm Commandant Samba Military Station Vikram Nandal, OIC Veteran Mamoon Virender Sidhu, Col OIC JS Bhardwan Samba Military Station paid homage and laid wreath to the brave heart.
Former MoS Rashpaul Verma, former MLC Subash Gupta, former MLA Durga Dass, Sushil Khajuria CDPO Hiranagar, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Samba Sunil Kumar, Dewan Khajuria and number of dignitaries of Kathua and Samba districts including Sarpanchs and Panchs of the area also paid homage to son of the soil.
On the occasion, the final match of Martyr Roshan Lal Memorial Volleyball Tournament was played between Taloor Volleyball Club Punjab and Hiranagar Volleyball Club. |
