New Delhi, Feb 6: Natrang actor Anil Tickoo has been conferred with Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Acting by His Excellency the President of India here today at a glittering function at Rahstrapati Bhawan, New Delhi. Anil Tickoo created the history for being the first Actor from the state of Jammu & Kashmir, who has been awarded with this highest honor of the country in the field of performing arts. Anil started his acting career in the year 1989 with Balwant Thakur's Theatre Camp under the banner of Natrang and afterwards there was no look back and there-after he created history after history and played lead roles in Natrang's highly acclaimed plays like 'Bawa Jitto', 'Mahabhoj', 'Ghumayee', 'Bhoma', 'Ghera', 'Comedy of Terrors', 'Suno Eh Kahani', 'Bagia Bancha Ram Ki', 'Kanjoos', 'Fandi', 'Holi', 'Poster', 'Aap Hamare Hain Kaun', 'Rakt-Beej', 'Kava Chala Hans Ki Chaal', "Bichoo", 'Mind Games' 'Sainyan Bhaye Kotwal'and many more. |
