Jammu, Feb 6: J&K Grameen Bank organized twelve (12) financial literacy awareness programmes in a day on the theme towards making women financially literate and ensuring financial inclusion in J&K State. Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural in collaboration with NABARD organized 12 Digital-Financial Literacy Awareness Programmes in different unbanked villages of the Branch offices Shahdara, Ashtingo, Quilmuqam, Noorbagh, Purmandal, Kartholi, Swankha Morh, Sai, Dablehar, Dhargloon, Manjakote, Mankote & Jhulas. J&K Grameen Bank has covered most of the districts of the state including Jammu, Samba, Baramulla, Bandipora & Rajouri with view to educate the participants regarding the Bank's financial services and products. Among all the chief guests Mushtaq Ahmed Qureshi, Sarpanch Shahdara, informed the gathering about developments in banking sector and latest schemes and also praises the remarkable efforts of Vipan Gupta, Head of the Department, Financial Inclusion & insurance Department who have done a tremendous towards making awareness among many unbanked villages in the whole J&K State. All Branch Heads from Branch Offices, Shahdara, Ashtingo, Quilmuqam, Noorbagh, Purmandal, Kartholi, Swankha Morh, Sai, Dablehar, Dhargloon, Manjakote, Mankote & Jhulas, addressed the gathering and detailed them regarding the schemes of the Bank.They enlightened people and students about new technologies available in the bank such as multiple uses of Bank cheques, Use of POS Machine, RuPay Debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, IMPS, Aadhaar based transactions etc. Car, Tractor, JLG and KCC loans of around Rs.60 lac were also disbursed during these programmes. They have also distributed New Year calendars among the people. They also stressed upon the social security schemes including APY, PMJJBY, PMSBY and presented the vote of thanks. |
