Udhampur, Mar 16: Heavy rains and hailstorms that lashed Udhampur have caused damage to fruits and other seasonal crops in the Tehsil Ramnagar of district Udhampur. The due farmers face heavy losses. Village Guzal in Ramnagar Tehsil faces huge loss of crops and fruits. Locals said that fruits like Peach (Aroo), Apricot (Khubani), Lychee wheat crop as well as other seasonal fruits and crops suffered damaged due to recent heavy rainfall followed by hail storm.
The farmers said that they totally depend on agriculture and have list everthing.
They have demanding proper compensation. |
