Dumped politician, advisor to budding politicians | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 16: A former minister who resigned from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but was unable to find any takers from other political parties is now "advisor to some budding politicians" in Kashmir. Sources said the said person is in touch with some new faces in politics and is "guiding them on how to become successful politicians." Sources said politician who is also known as "economist" has been giving tips to the new comers in politics on how to contest the upcoming Parliament elections from Kashmir. Sources said his main target is to guide some new faces who were previously close to a PDP leader, who was also his Cabinet colleague in the previous PDP-BJP alliance. "Basically he is trying to show that Birbal is not a good advisor in politics and that people should seek political advise only from him," said a source in know of the matter. Apart from advising new faces, he looks ahead guide some more politicians from Kashmir who had been shown the door by the PDP. "There are atleast two senior leaders almost ousted from PDP, who are banking on his advise these days," the sources said. It was reliably learnt that a lobby of businessmen in Kashmir has been trying to get "all the small stakeholders closer to emerge as a new power center." "From hosting the lunch in Jammu to getting new faces closer in Kashmir, this all is being done by a lobby of influential businessmen, especially on hotelier who is also close to NC and PDP," said a source in know of the matter. Sources said the politician who couldn't get any offer from other parties is trying for a "bounce back though new techniques of politics." "Things will be clear in the next two months," said a source. Despite repeated attempts the said politician couldn't be contacted for comments. |
