Medical cum Certificate Camp held at Village Kewal

RAJOURI, Mar 16: A Mega Medical cum Certificate camp under Public Service Guarantee Act, launched by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohd Ajaz Asad, was conducted successfully at village Kewal Tahsil, Budhal by the Block Medical Officer, Kandi (Kotranka) Dr. Iqbal Malik under the Supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kotranka Ved Parkash and Dr. Sunil Sharma, Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri.
In the camp, a total of 258 old age certificates for pension and other allied beneficial purposes such as fitness Certificate, illness, widow pension certificate were issue on the spot. The Doctors examined and treated more than 183 patients having different ailments and provided free medicine and Lab.tests. Besides, awareness regarding good hygiene, the importance of sanitation, Breastfeeding, HIV-AIDS, Save Girl Child, use of iodized salt, the benefit of institution Delivery, Age of marriage, Mental Health and detail of Health Schemes and programmes were also imparted to Public during the day-long camp.
A team of Doctors Dr. Ghulam Qader, Dental Surgeon, Dr. Zia-ul-Haq, Dr. Jabeen Ch. Dr. Nasmeen Dar, Abdul Latief Dar, CHO, Abdul Wahid Malik, Masood Ahmed, Sahil, and Mohd Ajaz Pharmacist, Vikrant Gupta Lab.Tech. Night Ara FMPHW, Abdul Majid Opth, besides other concerned officers took part in the day-long camp.
Dr. Sunil Sharma, Chief Medical Officer said that, free medical camps are extremely helpful for the poor population who earn a meager income and cannot afford expensive healthcare services and provide free tests for Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Haemoglobin etc and offers counseling & treatment by trained Doctors
